چکیده
WC-Co coatings have been used as wear resistant in aero engines for decades, and research is still ongoing to further improve the performance of these through compositional modifications reduce wear. The are unlubricated sliding protection compressor parts such as; compressor, disc mid-span stiffeners aerofoils. In this study, two different graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were introduced into (88–12 wt %) coating a hybrid thermal spray technique. Under correct injection conditions, HVOF leads in-situ powder mixing which eliminates need premixed powder. addition GNPs led an increase porosity coatings. Both improved system against alumina reduced damage counter surface. Against body, although few cases GNP incorporated had higher rate, lower deformation on bodies obtained. When surfaces combined, whole.

Characterization of hydroxyapatiteynano-zirconia composite coatings deposited by high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray process
Hydroxyapatite (HA)ynano-zirconia composite coatings were successfully produced through high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying of radio frequency (RF) plasma synthesized powders. Microstructure characterization and morphology analysis on the nano-structured coatings were conducted using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), and d...

In the present research, the spherical FeCoCrNiMo0.2 high entropy alloy (HEA) powders with a single FCC solid solution structure were prepared by gas atomization. Subsequently, the FeCoCrNiMo0.2 coatings with a different content of oxide inclusions were prepared by air plasma spraying (APS) and high-velocity oxy-fuel spraying (HVOF), respectively. The microstructure, phase composition, mechanic...
متن کاملThe effects of fuel chemistry and feedstock powder structure on the mechanical and tribological properties of HVOF thermal-sprayed WC–Co coatings with very fine structures
We have deposited a series of WC–Co coatings by the high velocity oxy fuel (HVOF) process, using three different powders, and different spray conditions. The powders are a nanocrystalline (Nanocarb), a near-nanostructured powder (Infralloy) containing a proprietary additive aimed at retarding grain growth, and multimodal (mixed micro and nano) powder (Nanomyte). HVOF spray conditions were stoic...
متن کاملModeling and control of HVOF thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings
This work focuses on the modeling and feedback control of the high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings. A first-principles-based process model is proposed to explore the fluid dynamics and particle inflight behavior in the HVOF flow field. Rule-based stochastic simulation, which encapsulates the main features involved in the deposition process, is used to capt...

In this study, the newly designed bipolar plate for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) was produced by spray-coating the Ni65Cr15P16B4 metallic glassy alloy on Al plate. The Ni65Cr15P16B4 metallic glass was adopted as a coating material because of its excellent corrosion resistance and the high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray coating was used for the metallic glass deposition on the Al ...
